The Bishop Family Charitable Foundation was established as a Virginia corporation in 2011, and is organized to execute the charitable mission of Jeremiah Bishop’s Alpine Loop Gran Fondo cycling event.

In accordance with the Bishop Family Charitable Foundation, Inc. Articles of Incorporation,” the corporation is organized and, at all times, shall be operated, exclusively for charitable, educational and/or scientific purposes within the meaning of 26 U.S.C. SS 501c3, as amended.”

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors with a variety and wealth of experience in non-profit fundraising, business, community and civic leadership, cycling advocacy and community outreach. The Board works closely with community leaders, other non-profit and civic organizations to ensure the most effective use and benefit are realized by the efforts of the Foundation’s charitable fundraising programs.

The Foundation is presently pending IRS approval of Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption Under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
